The Alaskan Sled Dog & Racing Association was formed in 1949 to promote and preserve the great Alaskan tradition of dog mushing.

ASDRA’s committed volunteers maintain 20 miles of trails in urban Anchorage, enabling mushers of all ages to participate in Alaska’s state sport, culminating in the Open World Championship, a cornerstone of the Acnhorage’s Fur Rendezvous festival.
